It's the Twins Birthday!!!

Today is the twins Ashton and Brinley's first birthday. Looking back... I never thought I would make it to this day. I thought I would be in the luney bin for sure. But we made it. Not with out help from our family and friends. Thousands of diapers and wipes later and hundreds of sleepless nights later. They are definently a blessing to our family and we just wouldn't have it any other way. Well except maybe one at a time. :) I just picked a few pictures so I wouldn't bore everyone so here they are Happy Birthday Ashton and Brinley!!!! Love Mom!!!

Four days before the twins were born! My belly measured a whoppin 48in that day. My stomach hurts just looking at that picture.

Mason and the twins in the hospital. And the family was listening at the door and they got to hear the babies cry when they first came out.

Right after the C-Section.

The day we came home from the hospital. Mason just had no idea how is life just changed. Proud Daddy!

We celbrated the twins birthday on Saturday. That was the first time they had ever eaten a cup cake and Brinley's was gone it like 30 seconds and Ashton wasn't quite sure what to do with it. Once he realized what to do it was gone quick. They both has their moments when they cried but I think it was because they ran out of food. They loved their presents and we all had a good time.

Ashton's surgery was a success!

Ashton had a Adenoidectomy yesterday. That is just the proper name for removing adnoids. Everything went great the doctor said that his adnoids were extremely large so I was really glad that we went ahead a get them removed. It made for a long day we had to be at St. Joe's at 5:00a.m. and Ashton couldn't eat or drink after midnight the night before but it wasn't to bad. Hopefully he will sleep, eat, and breath better once he is back to normal. He is doing good just a little fussy but I am sure he will be fine in no time. He had fun playing with all the nurse's but was happy to be back home.

I just felt so bad this is before the surgery. He had no idea what was going to happen.

This was before he woke up.

This was after he woke up. He really had a hard time coming out of the anaesthesia.

He sure got alot of rest after it was all over.

Mothers of Multiples

I have been thinking about joining a group for mothers of multiples so I can see that I am not the only crazy mom out there and just chat with other moms that are doing what I am doing everyday. Does anyone know of anything in Queen Creek that I can check in to. I am very interested. It would be nice to get some tips and advice from someone who is one step ahead of me or just doing the same thing maybe just in a better way. :) I would love to hear from you.

The Melted Bowl

So Colton came home from work one day and was "straving" as usual and decieded to make him a frozen pizza. Little did he know because he doesn't check the over before preheating Mason had been "cooking" in the oven before he got home from work. As the oven was preheating I smelt some plastic melting and new exactly what it was. I think the pictures speak for themselves.

Before the preheating

After the preheating

So Colton never got to cook the pizza because he had to let the plastic cool so he could peel it off the oven. Lesson learned check the over before cooking.

So you had a bad day......

Ok so let me explain. I wasn't going to post this because I wasn't sure if the other guy was going to live. We got in a car accident last Thurday. You know two days after Christmas. We were headed up north to get Colton's grandpa's truck that he has been dying to get since he was like 10. Finally we said let's go get it. His grandpa got a new one and said that Colton can have it. (Something that I care nothing about) Anyways we met at Colton's parents house at about 6:15 am at Power and McKellips and made it to Ellsworth & McDowell at about 6:30am . We got real far..... We got hit from behind by a BMW going 80-100mph. The impact was hard enough to lift a super duty off the ground. The car went under his dad's truck and basically came out the side. I just remember looking out my window and seeing the guys car rolling and rolling. Thank goodnes s for car seats. We were definently being watched over that day because as you can see the cab of the truck was basically untouched. I just keep thinking that someone so careless could have taken out a whole family in one second. Three generations of Grant boys not to metion. The other guy will have alot of time to think about what happened because he broke his back in four places and his neck. He is lucky to be alive. So count your blessings and buckle up.
