Fun Fact

If anyone was wondering the chances of having random twins is 1 in 83. But if you have already had random twins your chances increase to 1 in 50. Who new?

Finally!!!!

In our house we have had a rough time at night. Mason sleeps great but having twins that don't sleep through the night can really wear on you. And they are one. But there is hope. I thought after Ashton's surgery he would sleep great, he did ok for like a night then they both broke out in high fevers from teething and it just went down hill from there. The fevers are gone and I was so excited when Ashton woke up for the first time and it was morning. Not at 11pm or 1am or 3am but it was 5 :30am. YEA!!! Colton had already left for work and I brought him in to lay with me to see if I could just close my eyes for 5 more minutes and I ended up waking him up at 8am because I didn't want him to roll off the bed. Brinley slept the whole night and didn't make a peep until 8am. This is a big step for us. This was the first time that both babies slept the whole night! It has only taken a year. I just thought that this was something to blog about. :)

Like Father, Like Son

So I always joke with Colton how much him and his father are alike. They say the same things, they think the same, they act the same and now they drive the same truck. Colton couldn't stop taking about this truck he wanted to get so I finally gave in and said sure show me... and what do I see the exact same truck as his father. To make a long story readable they now have the same truck. To make the story more interesting try explaining to a two and a half year old that his dad drives a truck like grandpa. It went a little something like this.

Colton: Maso
n do want to see the truck daddy is going to get on the computer.

Mason: Sure.

Colton: Se
e Mason it kinda looks like Grandpa's truck.

Mason: N
o daddy that is Grandpa's truck!

Now Mason thinks daddy is driving Grand
pa's truck. We went and got the truck from the dealership and Colton had to go to my brothers to fix something and the first thing he said was "so you borrowing your dad's truck?" I laughed so hard. I said maybe you should have at least got a different color. They only picture of his dad's truck I have is from the accident...but i think that if you look at Colton's you can just imagine what it looked like before the accident.

Colton's Truck... Randy's Truck

Colton came home from conference and informed me that we do have a picture of his dad's truck that is not from the accident and wanted to me switch out the pictures so I am just going to add it instead. (He thinks this one is a better picture) So here she is.

Our set of twins... There set of twins

It's the Twins Birthday!!!

Today is the twins Ashton and Brinley's first birthday. Looking back... I never thought I would make it to this day. I thought I would be in the luney bin for sure. But we made it. Not with out help from our family and friends. Thousands of diapers and wipes later and hundreds of sleepless nights later. They are definently a blessing to our family and we just wouldn't have it any other way. Well except maybe one at a time. :) I just picked a few pictures so I wouldn't bore everyone so here they are Happy Birthday Ashton and Brinley!!!! Love Mom!!!

Four days before the twins were born! My belly measured a whoppin 48in that day. My stomach hurts just looking at that picture.

Mason and the twins in the hospital. And the family was listening at the door and they got to hear the babies cry when they first came out.

Right after the C-Section.

The day we came home from the hospital. Mason just had no idea how is life just changed. Proud Daddy!

We celbrated the twins birthday on Saturday. That was the first time they had ever eaten a cup cake and Brinley's was gone it like 30 seconds and Ashton wasn't quite sure what to do with it. Once he realized what to do it was gone quick. They both has their moments when they cried but I think it was because they ran out of food. They loved their presents and we all had a good time.

And of course Monster Jam!

Sometimes you wonder if it is really for the Big Boys (Grandpa and Daddy) or if it is really for the little boys!
