Happy 26th Colton

Today is Colton Birthday so I just wanted to say Happy Birthday. I am sure your mom is proud of you and everything you have accomplished. You are a loving husband and father. You would do anything for your family. You are such a people pleaser and a peacemaker. Everytime you come home from work it reminds me of that primary song "I'm so glad when daddy comes home" because when the kids hear your truck pull in the drive way they run as fast as they can to get the first hug. We LOVE you so here are some random pictures from over the years. Enjoy!

Fathers' and Sons'

This is from a couple of weeks ago. I finally got these pictures from Colton's camera onto the computer. What more could a little boy ask for. Water he can throw rocks in dirt to roll around in and all the space in the world to ride "his" green four wheeler. Well he thinks it is his.

Mason's new favorite toy!

After fathers and Sons Colton told Mason that he had to take the four wheelers back to grandpa and he refused to let him and said they were his. So Colton to him on one little ride behind our neighborhood because there's a bunch of dirt roads and he just loved it so I had to snap a couple of pictures cause Mason was ready to go.

Bunk Beds

So I am now on the hunt for some bunk beds. So if anyone has any suggestions, good deals, or good finds I am ready to listen. I am not that excited about putting my almost 14month old in a big boy bed but the crib that I am using is no longer avaliable. At least we get to have our bathroom back. Thanks a bunch.

Being a Mom

I always see mom peoms and this one I thought was extra special. So when you are having a rough day this is good to remember. I am sure we all can relate so I just thought I would share.

Moms & Grandmas

Before I was a Mom -

I slept as late as I wanted and never

worried about how late I got into bed.

I brushed my hair and my teeth everyday.

Before I was a Mom -

I cleaned my house each day.

I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a

lullaby.

I didn't worry whether or not my plants were

poisonous.

I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom -

I had never been puked on.

Pooped on.

Spit on.

Chewed on.

Peed on.

I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.

I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom -

I never held down a screaming child

So that doctors could do tests.

Or give shots.

I never looked into teary eyes and cried.

I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.

I never sat up late hours at night watching a

baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom -

I never held a sleeping baby just because

I didn't want to put it down.

I never felt my heart break into a million

pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.

I never knew that something so small

could affect my life so much.

I never knew that I could love someone

so much.

I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom -

didn't know the feeling of having my

heart outside my body.

I didn't know how special it could feel

to feed a hungry baby.

I didn't know that bond between a mother

and her child.

I didn't know that something so small could

make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom -

I had never gotten up in the middle of

the night every 10 minutes to make sure

all was okay.

I had never known the warmth,

The joy,

The love,

The heartache,

The wonderment or the satisfaction

of being a Mom.

I didn't know I was capable of feeling

so much before I was a Mom.

And before I was a Grandma, I didn't

know that all those "Mom" feelings

more than doubled when you see that

little bundle being held by 'your' baby...

Send this to someone who you think is a

special Mom or Grandma.

I just did. And remember that behind

every successful Mother is her Mother....

she would not be who she is today with out her.

and let's also not forget she will always count on

a basket of dirty laundry.

My Frys Trip

Last night we had an enrichment activity and we got started talking about coupons, sales and grocery ads. I am no expert but I do love my coupons. So I decided to post just one grocery receipt as an example of what I was talking about and what coupons do for me.

I got.....
3 4 packs of cottonelle toilet paper
4 boxes of aunt jemimia frozen pancakes
3 bags of cheetos
1 bag of pretzels
4 32oz welches grape jelly
5 betty crocker cookies pouches
4 tony's frozen pizza
6 cans of hormel chili
4 boxes of betty crocker potatoes
3 shout
2 windex
14 bags of goldfish
3 packs of keebler cookies (my secret stash)
4 packs of pillsbury biscuts
2 boxes popsicles (24 count each)
3 boxes of cheez-its

I paid $34.63

I saved $117.74

I think I got a good deal. I still had a few coupons left of some items they were out of. Coupons can make a difference and this obviously will last me way more than a week. Happy Shopping.

Another Park Day

Yesterday I had my niece for a good part of the day and I could tell she was getting a little bored watching cartoons all day and so when she asked to go to the park I couldn't say no. It was actually nice having someone around that could help me out with the kids. She will be a great babysitter some day. Ok maybe in awhile she is only six. Anyways we got the kids dressed and headed to the park.

I tried to get them both to sit down so I could get a good picture and Ashton spotted an airplane and Brinley just wasn't having it.

Kaylee loved taking the babies down the slides. Works for me.

Ashton kept wanted to go up the slide instead of down.

This I guess was the only picture of Mason that I took. It will have to do.

The babies thought it was the funniest thing to stick their faces in those holes.
